A couple weeks ago, I posted about my progress in our guest room. Up next is our bedroom! With the bar cart now relegated as a night stand and all that reclaimed wood, I wanted to add some blues to complement the warm tones from the wood. I was picturing a modern, masculine and romantic retreat. I'm not quite there yet but baby steps, right?
I've partnered up with Rugs Direct and chose the Nourison Barclay Butera rug in Indigo from because I love the repeating cross sign. And it goes nicely with the lines of the bar cart. The lamp is thrifted. I love the florals and it feels romantic to me. Everything gets shuffled around the house because why not? It's fun that way! That Otomi artwork is definitely working overtime. It just looks great in every room!
That spoiled pup, Luigi owns the bed. Our other pup Sterling has his own chair on the other side of the room which I'm not gonna show because it's a hot mess. All the bedrooms in the house has carpet so I'm covering them up with 8x10 rugs. What's that spinning on the ceiling? Yep! It's a ceiling fan and it's staying. I know I haven't been kind to ceiling fans in the past and I still think most of them are hideous but at least this one is simple and easy on the eyes. It really does cool the room down at night, so all you ceiling fan lovers, you win! Haha! ;P
The house is painted this light shade of grey. It really bugs me because it doesn't know what it wants to be. It's like the color of dust bunnies. It just looks dirty white to me in person and in photos. If I'm gonna do grey, it'll be a bold and moody grey, something like this foggy day. Beautiful. Eventually, I'll smooth over the whole house with a warm white :) Check out what our bedroom looked like way before! Blah!
