It was fall 2009. I had just moved to a beautiful loft with brick walls in Downtown LA with my then bf (now bff). I was shuffling furniture around with Morning Becomes Eclectic playing on my Tivoli. Then, Quadron came on. It was my first time hearing them. Their single "Slippin" had this bittersweet sound and I was instantly infatuated with Coco O's lush voice. They quickly became one of my favorite bands. Check out their cover of Lauryn Hill's Ex-Factor. It's ridiculously amazing.
Fast forward four years later, I got the chance to photograph them for Bunch Magazine! Robin and Coco are super cool and totally chill. But, don't you think they can use an extra band member like me?! Ha. I had to throw in that photo of me with them in there. I was in a major fan boyville. Well, I had a great time photographing them and I had a great team working with me too! Big thanks to my home girl, Maureen Goo for letting us use her beautiful home.
You can now grab this issue of Bunch here or at Urban Outfitters Space Ninety 8 in Williamsburg.
