Designing a Moody, Tented Dining Room with Ultraleather

I've always believed that great design pushes boundaries, so when it was time to create my dream dining room, I knew I wanted to do something unexpected. I teamed up with Ultraleather to bring this virtual vision to life, and the result is a bold, moody, and textured space that's everything I've ever wanted.

When people think of leather, they often picture a classic sofa or a timeless armchair. I wanted to go a step further. I used Ultraleather in some truly surprising ways, starting with a dramatic tent. I chose their rich Chianti color and draped the ceiling to create a soft, cozy canopy. For the walls, I applied a pleated leather effect in the same Chianti color, adding a fun texture you don’t often see. And to contrast all that deep wine, the dining chairs are upholstered in a stunning Montage Sorrel green.

Tucked to the side of the room is a cozy little library, designed for sipping wine and lounging after a delicious meal. I upholstered the sofa in Ultraleather's buttery-soft alternative leather, choosing a bright Honeydew to pop against the Chianti. And because a little extra is always a good idea, I added some playful leather fringe in Pumice Summer Melon to the bottom of the sofa. For the sculptural accent chairs, I went with Ultraleather in Citrus to create a cohesive, deeply luxurious feel. It’s got tons of texture and a certain sexy vibe that just works.
