TOSS & TURN PRINT SHOP

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. I was eagerly working on my print shop so I could share with you some of my artwork that's been brewing for, well, a few years really. And now, I proudly present to you my shop, TOSS & TURN.

It's taken me a while to get here. I didn't have the guts to share my artwork because I was scared it wasn't good enough. I was my own worst critic and on top of that, I had some shitty jobs and it just zapped all my creativity away, except one, when I worked for April Greiman at Made in Space. She's fabulous and totally inspiring. That pretty much jump-started my passion for art and design again. But also, I've always had an overwhelming desire to travel the world, so I left my dear April and became a flight attendant. Crazy me!

I flew for two years and it was great but the time changes and the jetlags were taking a toll on me. I knew it was time to move on so I quit about 3 months ago. And now, I'm just trying to get back to my creative side. I don't know what's in my next chapter but I know it'll be something I love doing.

When I was still flying I had a lot of down time, so I started making art and taking a lot of photos again. Before blogging, I had flickr and Tumblr. I was also doing a lot of thrifting and decorating (my own home) and Old Brand New was born. The idea behind this blog was not only to share what I find at thrift stores and how to make a space look beautiful without breaking the bank, but I wanted it to be a combination of printmaking, photography, interiors, basically art + design of any kind that was inspiring, whether it was old or new. And ever since I started blogging, I have felt like the luckiest kid in town to have your support and encouraging words. I can't thank you enough. And of course, I couldn't have done it without all the wonderful and inspiring blogs out there. Take a look at my blogoodies. They feed my creativity.

I named my print shop Toss & Turn because when I'm in bed, that's when my creative juices start flowing and I come up with all these crazy ideas and I seriously toss and turn from all the thinking. So, there you have it, a little history of me, Old Brand New and Toss & Turn.

Speaking of Toss & Turn, I have two new prints in my shop. They are Seesaw and Home Is Where The Heart is (in yellow and blue). I hope you like them. And I'm on etsy, too, if you wanna say hello over there.

And before I go, I just wanna say one last thing and that is, it's never too late to start doing what you love.
