I pretty much consider every thing I find from the thrift stores a work of art. But if you can make art out of thrifty finds then it's even more awesome. These installations using second hand clothes are some of the brilliant works by the Finnish artist, Kaarina Kaikkonen. It's breathtaking to see used clothes transform into something so magnificent and powerful. Kaarina Kaikkonen is also one of the many artists commissioned to take part in the 10th Liverpool Bienniel Festival of Contemporary Art which is happening right now and ends Nov. 28th. If you're in the neighborhood, I urge you to go see her amazing work in person so you can tell me all about it.
